Take The World Water Monitoring Challenge

World Water Monitoring Challenge™ (WWMC) is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local waterbodies.

The Makulu crew is committed to investigating water quality and the effects of marine debris during expeditions. The crew will conduct water quality testing (fresh and salt) using the EpiCollect app. You can participate too! Take the challenge, test your local water! Visit the World Water Monitoring Challenge website to order a LaMotte testing kit. Classrooms email Shannon@beautifulnationproject.org to receive your water quality testing kit!

Follow Water Quality Channel

Water Quality around the world is among the most important topics for the Beautiful Nation Project to explore. In this channel, we will concentrate on a collective understanding of the complex regional and global water-related challenges faced by humans around the planet.  Together, we will develop skills for building innovative sustainable solutions, focusing on specializations such as green infrastructure, urban and coastal water issues, in addition to ways of improving the quality of water in areas we visit along the Voyage of Makulu.
